Menu Commands
Column Menu
The Column menu items act on columns as a whole.
- New. Create a new column. Use this command to
create a new column for a new result type. You will be prompted for
the result name and cost. The cost is the number of points of
effect per result, which is 1 for normal results and the spell cost
for spell results. Thus, the cost of a Maneuver is 1, but the cost
of a Wind Walk is 4.
- Recalculate. Recalculate the value of the current
column. Use this command if the display has become messed
up.
Cells Menu
The Cells menu items act on the current marked cells. If
no cell is marked, they act only on the currently-selected
cell.
- Double. Double the points of a die. Use this
command for doubling IDs during a magic roll, applying a Burning
Hands spell during melee, when processing maneuvers or saves
while on an eighth face, or in any other situation where doubling
is appropriate.
- Halve. Halve the points of a die, rounding down.
Use this command for units under the effect of green dragonkin
breath or the CryoHydra's frost breath.
- Increase. Add 1 to a die's point total. Use this
command to undo the effect of an erroneous halving or decreasing.
Note that to add a value to the results of an army, you should use
Create,Bonus instead.
- Decrease. Subtract 1 from a die's point total.
Use this command to handle the effect of the Mummy's wither power,
or to subtract from or halve the results of an army. Note that you
subtract directly from the dice affected.
- Reset. Restore a die's original point value. Use
this command to recover from a previous mistake.
- Change Roll. Re-roll the die and use the new
result. Use this command for spells like Flashfire that
allow you to reroll a die in hopes of getting a better result. You
will be asked if you want to use the new result. If you answer NO,
the point value for the die will be cleared. If you answer YES, the
point value for the die will be set to the new icon count.
- Reroll. Re-roll the die and add in the new
result. Use this command for SAIs like Flurry, Tail, Rend, and
Double Strike that allow you to re-roll the die and accumulate the
results. You will be asked if you want to use the new result. If
you answer NO, the point value for the die will be unchanged. If
you answer YES, the new icon count will be added into the point
value. HINT: if you are rolling for multiple
results and the new roll is a different result type, use YES to add
in the new roll, then use Create,Split to split the die into
its component parts.
- Clear. Erase the die's point total. Use this
command to quickly take a die's points out of consideration in the
column header.
Create Menu
The Create menu items act on the currently-selected cell.
They also create a new cell and add it to the current column.
- Split. Split this die into two dice and divide the
points between them. This command will ask you for a number of
points. A new cell will be created specifying the current die and
the specified number of points. The remaining points will stay with
the original cell. Use this command for things like dividing spell
points between spells.
- Clone. Create an identical copy of this die. This
command creates a copy of the original die, in effect doubling its
points. The advantage to using Clone instead of
Cells,Double is that the die can be used against multiple
results.
- Bonus. Create a bonus spell that has points but no
die. This command is for army bonuses like Wind Walk and
dragonkin army.
